Spain

This is the view from our apartment balcony (very small).

Brent has returned from a week in Spain. He had a conference on the first three days, and then registered the girls for school, checked out our apartment, and went to a futbol game with our exchange student, Edu.

The school is from 9-5 and in the same community as the university. The students have to have swimming as their physical education, until 8 years old or they pass the assessment. They have to have music of sorts, Jocelyn can continue to take piano, and that will count. The curriculum is 50% Spanish and 50% English, with tutoring available.

The apartment has maid service once a week, where they change the sheets, the towels are changed every other day. The kitchen has a washer/dryer in. I can call down to the lobby if there is anything I want, like a grill or crock pot. The apartment has two bedrooms with our choice of beds (a king and two twins). We can ask for roll away beds, but we do intend on bringing our sleeping bags for the girls when we have company. There is a big room that is the sitting room, TV area and dining room. We don’t know when the room is available, since the semester doesn’t start until September, this is something Brent is trying to work out now.

The other picture is poor Bryce dealing with chicken pox. She had to stay home from school for a week – very taxing on her and mom. It is recommended that children get two vaccinations, when mine only received one. Jocelyn will get her shot at her next check up. The bummer is that we have had a bunch of newborns around us (4) that we haven’t been able to visit!!!
